Project
Modelling of a Conservation Voltage Reduction in PSS SINCAL
Conservation Voltage Reduction
Conservation Voltage Reduction (CVR) is a technique used in the power grid in which grid operators maintain the electrical voltage at the lower end of the permissible range to reduce energy consumption and peak loads, and to protect overloaded assets.
Consulting Services
We conducted test modeling of voltage reduction for congestion management in Siemens PSS SINCAL in preparation for real-world grid tests. The focus of my work was on reliable data preparation and model building. Conducting the subsequent grid simulations was outside the primary scope of my work, but I was expected to assist with them.
