Research objective
We developed a structured multi-level framework to assess infrastructure access for Power-to-X production and applied it to ammonia, methanol, methane, and kerosene production in Chile, Germany, and South Africa. We modeled different infrastructure configurations, including grid connection, access to CO₂ or N₂ and hydrogen supplies, and the use of existing synthesis plants. My contribution comprised the development of approximately 80 energy-system models, techno-economic optimization, and subsequent evaluations and calculations, including the levelized cost of product. The life-cycle assessment was conducted separately and was not part of my work.
