Regionalisation of Planned Wind and Photovoltaic Capacity

Consulting objective

The project contributed to a regionalisation tool that allocated future wind and photovoltaic capacity to postcode areas for network-planning applications.

I implemented and applied predefined distribution keys provided by my project supervisor using regional indicators such as land area, population and structural characteristics. I processed the resulting spatial allocations and created QGIS-based maps to visualise the regional distribution of renewable-generation capacity. These outputs supported the assessment and communication of renewable-energy expansion scenarios for grid planning.
